INTERNATIONAL WEB CONSORTIUM LAUNCHES IN UK

An international consortium which produces websites designed to make it easy to publish newsletters using material directly from the websites has launched a UK operation.

Australian-based EzyMedia already has outlets in the USA and Canada. Now it has established a UK team to support a website – www.EzyMedia.co.uk – which sets out the company’s offering for the UK market.

The consortium is particularly targeting businesses and membership organisations – such as clubs, societies and associations – which have both a website and a newsletter that they send to customers or members. Both often contain similar material but producing them has traditionally been two quite separate time-consuming operations.

EzyMedia websites are designed not only to be easy to update and maintain but also to integrate with a newsletter production system. This makes it easy to ‘build’ a newsletter using material from the website and also to manage distribution with simple-to-use tools that target content and advertisements to specified audiences.

The websites are built using WordPress opensource technology – the world’s leading website building tool. It is the largest self-hosted web tool in the world, used on millions of sites and by tens of millions of people every day.

John Hancock, Australia-based CEO of the EzyMedia group, said: “We already have a few European customers but the launch of the UK operation takes EzyMedia into Europe in a big way. We now have local support from a UK team that can offer not just EzyMedia software but a wide range of other marketing expertise.”
