Halal Pet Products Ltd Director Musa Bhayat,
a Muslim cat owner himself, said “Pet
ownership for many Muslims is fraught with difficulties, due to the absence
of a Halal pet food on the market. Many pet foods contain beef, chicken and
even pork; because Muezza Pure cat food formula is based on Halal chicken,
it removes a significant barrier to Muslim pet ownership”.
He continued “issues
surrounding cross contamination within the home by using haram pet foods
have posed a problem for Muslims for many years, all of the leading UK and
other western cat food brands have not understood these issues”.

Shugborough,

attraction, has been shortlisted for a major tourism
award.
The high profile
Regional Culture Award aims to recognise the best
2009 cultural experience in the West Midlands.
Judges have shortlisted entries that promote the
greatest understanding of the area’s history,
heritage and contemporary culture.
Shugborough, which is
operated by Staffordshire County Council, is the
nation’s most complete working historic estate.
Costumed characters bring history alive as visitors
see life above and below stairs in the real working
environments of the stately home. In addition the
estate boasts the county museum where real
Staffordshire environments have been constructed
including shops, a schoolroom and a puppet museum.
More than 120,000 people visit the attraction near
Stafford each year and over 15,000 schoolchildren
