Sales Outsourcing Specialist Provides Access to Experienced Staff without the Red Tape of Employment

Sales outsourcing specialist Selling People Ltd, is developing its services to meet the demands of experienced professionals seeking more flexible employment opportunities and to offer a further resource to startup, small and medium sized software companies in the UK and EMEA.

Selling People already provides a range of sales outsourced services including sales resources, lead generation, marketing services, interim sales management, training and consultation. In effect, Selling People uses its own resources, proven processes and experienced staff to provide companies with ready made sales and marketing departments. The concept is sales driven and eliminates the need for lengthy in-house recruitment drives and high operation costs.

The new scheme has benefits for companies and workers alike. A worker can choose a more flexible employment pattern in keeping with their lifestyle choice; for example working a two day week or on a freelance basis, while a company can tap into a valuable pool of people, frequently with 15 years experience or more, without having the retention costs and complications associated with full time employment.

The scheme is timely as new regulations relating to the Age Discrimination Act come into force from October 2006. The Act, while protecting the rights of employees, will give all employers new obligations to consider and constitute a longer employment period. Specifically, a national default retirement age of 65 will be introduced, making compulsory retirement below age 65 unlawful (unless objectively justified). All employees will have the 'right to request' to work beyond the default retirement age of 65 and all employers will have a 'duty to consider' requests from employees to work beyond 65, ultimately impacting on overall employment costs.

Julian Poulter, managing director, comments: "Not everyone wants to go into the office every day and work 9 to 5 or indeed work until they drop. Employees are seeking alternative choices such as consultancy services, working from home and freelance options. Selling People can bridge the gap for companies and workers by providing established sales driven business resources, adaptable working opportunities and remuneration in line with skills and experience."
