Actinic Ecommerce Software Version 8 Ships - Available Now

Popular ecommerce solutions supplier, Actinic announces the immediate availability of version 8 of its desktop ecommerce range for small and medium businesses. Actinic v8 has been re-coded with an object-based architecture and is effectively a brand new product. The product-line up has also been revamped, introducing a new Web Designer software range for professionals alongside the original Self-Builder family for merchants wanting to go it alone. The re-write means users get a new WYSIWYG 'Design View' where any design or content object on the page can be moved around or reformatted at the click of the mouse. Plus, the enhanced Dreamweaver plug-in enables designs to be originated in Dreamweaver and imported directly into the Actinic software for addition to the shopping cart. Version 8 also has valuable new marketing options to help merchants to promote products, including lists for 'Best Sellers', 'Also Bought' and 'New Products'.

Self-Builder Range

Actinic Catalog: provides everything a merchant requires to build and manage their own online store, with capacity to scale up as the sales grow. RRP £379.

Actinic Business: provides online traders with the ability to develop and manage their own sophisticated, high volume ecommerce web site. RRP £799. There are also Multi-Site (RRP £1,250) and Multi-User (RRP £1,500 for 2 users) versions of Business.

Web Designer Range

This new range of products has been developed specifically to meet the requirements of web designers and allow them to build ecommerce sites for clients and brand them as their own, at a new low price point.

Actinic Designer: fully integrates with Dreamweaver and gives web designers a comprehensive and flexible tool set for producing multiple, cost effective ecommerce sites for clients. RRP £350. Actinic Developer has been retired.

Actinic Catalog Client: provides everything a web designer's customer requires to manage their own online store, but minus the design capability. RRP £200.
