London MAS Launches Online Lean Tool

The London Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) has launched a free online lean diagnostic tool as a key element of its revamped website.

Manufacturers logging on to www.mas-london.co.uk will be able to use the self-diagnosis facility to determine their current lean condition…and make plans for future improvements.

The facility includes the creation of an automated implementation plan, which businesses can use to structure a lean programme and pinpoint areas for improvement. Users can log in time and time again to monitor progress.

The revised website also includes a best practice library, which holds guides on the business improvement tools and techniques employed by London MAS in areas such as lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and new product development. Visitors can also gain information on regional funding and events and join the Manufacturing Network (www.manufacturingnetwork.org), a web-based information and networking resource.
