A London firm selling CDs of live music that are available for fans to
purchase immediately after concerts, has been crowned Winner of the 2007
HSBC Start-Up Stars Awards – the UK’s premier showcase for the most
promising start-up businesses and the inspirational entrepreneurs behind
them.
James Perkins (29) and Adam Goodyer (29) received their award, plus
£25,000 courtesy of HSBC, at a glittering gala dinner attended by 300 guests
at London’s Dorchester Hotel.
The two entrepreneurs beat off stiff competition from nine other National
Finalists, and an original field of hundreds of the UK’s most talented new

CITYSPRINT STRIKES AT 2007 UK MAIL AWARDS -
CitySprint beats off rival Royal Mail to scoop CSR Award 
CitySprint, the UK’s largest privately owned SameDay
Courier company, scooped the Corporate Social Responsibility
(CSR) award at the 2007 UK Mail Awards in London . CitySprint beat off stiff
competition from Royal Mail and was crowned winner of the
coveted award after clearly demonstrating its commitment to
CSR through the comprehensive environmental programme it has
implemented both internally and externally in order to
minimise the impact its business practices have on the
environment.
The CSR award won last night is the third award
CitySprint has won this year for its environmental programme
after already being crowned with the 2007 IFW (International
Freighting Weekly) Environment Award and the Transport for
London Private Sector 'Capital Fleet of the Year' award

workshops
The London Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) and
Platinum Business Services have teamed up to provide a
series of business development workshops aimed at
helping small and medium sized companies to expand.
The Business Development Workshop Programme will
focus on how to develop and implement a sustainable
growth plan, looking at issues such as creating new
revenue streams, exploring funding and grant
opportunities and building a team that adds value to a
business.
The workshop series will include input from award
winning marketing guru Princewill Omorogiuwa, funding
and grant expert Bambo Onigbanjo and accredited business

Initiative is Double Award Winner

is celebrating after walking away with two separate awards for its
